I can’t believe I’ve been able to take on the 90-day challenge.

What an incredible experience.I was excited — and nervous — going into this, knowing it would be a real opportunity to learn more about myself. And I have. I’m not here to “sell” my own story, but to pass on the shifts that proved this challenge is worth every second of your time.

The Big Difference Makers

ree

1) Taking charge of who I am

I’ve rediscovered what it feels like to be fully present in my own skin. The lingering self-doubt and uncertainty I used to feel began to fade once the haze of alcohol lifted. For the first time in years, I wanted more for myself — and I believed I could achieve it.

2) Learning to push through adversity

Alcohol gives a quick fix for long-term problems — but only temporarily.Facing issues head-on builds real resilience. During the challenge I handled breakups, family stress, work pressures and financial worry without numbing myself. I came out stronger every single time.

3) Mental health improves — dramatically

I’d heard others say it. Now I know it’s true. The reduction in anxiety and depression has been the most meaningful part of this entire journey. Something inside me simply clicked. Life still has highs and lows, but my emotional stability is on a whole new level.

4) Physical transformation begins

I started running last November after a five-year break.I used to cancel out all gym progress with big weekends and takeouts — but removing alcohol changed everything. My training improved, my energy increased, and I even took on a half marathon in May as my physical challenge. I raised money for Beyond Blue in the process, and the difference in my overall wellbeing has been unbelievable.

5) You look better — without even trying

Clearer eyes. Better skin. Less bloating.Even your hair gets some shine back. When you stop pouring alcohol into your body, it responds — fast.

6) You get your best self back

The biggest realisation:you don’t need alcohol to have fun, meet people, celebrate, or live fully.

I did birthdays, championships, dates, family gatherings and work events all alcohol-free. What society tells us is “normal” doesn’t have to be your normal.

7) Others will notice — and get curious

People asked questions. They asked again.Your transformation inspires others more than you think. Without trying, you become proof that change is possible.

8) Temptation comes — but overcoming it feels incredible

There will be moments when you question yourself, especially early in the challenge. But learning to surf the urge builds immense willpower. Every time you stay strong, you reinforce who you’re becoming.

And that next-day clarity? That alone is worth it.

All of this matters more than any night on the booze ever has.

Keep going.Keep learning.Keep discovering what alcohol-free life can give you.

It’s worth every second.
